In The Riding: March 17th

What an exciting and eventful week it has been!

I am honoured to represent such a dynamic and vibrant community, and I am thrilled to share some of the highlights of the past week with you.

Nordiq Canada Ski Nationals

Our region is blessed with some of the most stunning and breathtaking natural scenery in the country, and it was wonderful to see so many people from across Canada come and experience the natural beauty of our region.

Indoor Tennis Project

This project will provide a year-round, indoor space for our community to enjoy various sports and activities, and I am excited to see this project come to fruition.

NOHFC Funding

The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) investment of $435,156 for eight development projects in Thunder Bay will support job creation, economic growth, and community development in our region.

Minister David Piccini

I also welcomed the Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks David Piccini to Thunder Bay.

The Minister had the opportunity to tour the Resolute Forest Products facility and learn more about their operations.

Additionally, Minister Piccini announced a provincial investment of $29 million to support and protect boreal caribou and their habitat in Ontario, highlighting our government’s commitment to preserving our natural environment for generations to come.
