    $749,050 to Upgrade Geraldton Community Centre

    I was pleased to join the community in Geraldton to announce that our government is investing $749,050 to upgrade the Geraldton Community Centre. This funding will help improve safety, accessibility, and energy efficiency so the centre can continue to serve residents of all ages for years to come.

    Community centres play an important role in bringing people together and supporting healthy, active lifestyles. Thank you to the The Municipality of Greenstone , local staff, and volunteers who work hard to make this facility such a valued community hub.

    Geraldton District Hospital Receives Over $2.3 Million in Funding

    I was happy to join the community of Geraldton to share some great news for local health care. Our government is investing $500,000 to begin planning the renovation of the first floor of the Geraldton District Hospital to improve access to services and expand capacity for patients close to home.

    I was also excited to announce that the hospital will receive an additional $1.8 million in annual operating funding to help sustain and enhance the vital health services residents rely on every day.

    Thank you to the dedicated staff at Geraldton District Hospital for their ongoing work to improve health care in Greenstone and area. Together we are ensuring families have access to high-quality care in their own community for years to come.

    Ontario Restoring over 762 Kilometres of Snowmobile Trails in Northwestern Ontario

    I stopped by the Thunder Bay Adventure Trails Snowmobile Club to see their groomers firsthand and to congratulate the club on the funding they received to help restore our local snowmobile trail network, with more than 762 kilometres of trails being restored across our region.

    Snowmobiling is an important part of life in Northwestern Ontario. It supports local businesses, brings visitors to our communities, and provides outdoor recreation throughout the winter months. This work would not be possible without the dedicated volunteers who spend countless hours maintaining and grooming the trails.

    I want to sincerely thank the Thunder Bay Adventure Trails Snowmobile Club and all their volunteers for their commitment to our community. Our government is proud to support these efforts and to help keep trails safe, accessible, and open for riders this season.

    Government Investing $445,839 to Support Firefighters across Thunder Bay – Atikokan

    Through the Fire Protection Grant, our government is investing $445,839 to support firefighters across Thunder Bay – Atikokan.

    This funding will protect firefighters with cancer prevention initiatives, equipment to address lithium-ion battery fires and infrastructure upgrades.

    $860,000 to Support Skilled Trades Training in KOBE Communities

    Proud to share that Ontario is investing $863,460 to support skilled trades training in six Keewaytinook Okimakanak communities. This investment will provide hands on, culturally informed training that helps more people access good-paying trades jobs close to home in Northern Ontario.

    Im pleased to see Ontario working with Keewaytinook Okimakanak to create meaningful opportunities for families and strengthen local economies. These programs equip community members with the skills they need to succeed and make a positive impact in their communities.

    Ontario Connecting 9000 More People to Primary Care in Thunder Bay

    Our government is taking another step to improve access to health care in Thunder Bay by connecting 9,000 more people to primary care. This investment will help more families find a family doctor or primary care team closer to home and help reduce pressure on emergency rooms.

    Ontario Investing Over $4 Million in Health Infrastructure Upgrades & Repairs in Thunder Bay – Atikokan

    Our government is investing over $4.1 million in health infrastructure upgrades and repairs across our riding to support safe, modern care closer to home. This funding will help hospitals and community health organizations improve facilities, from roofs and windows to security and emergency systems.

    It was very nice to see members of the Ontario’s Fire Fighters Association at Queens Park. It is always a pleasure to meet with the OPFFA and speak about the vital work firefighters do to keep our communities safe. Thank you for the meaningful discussion and for your continued service.

    Critical Mineral Processing Fund has officially launched!

    As part of our plan to protect Ontario and build a more resilient, self-reliant economy, the fund will ensure Ontario’s critical minerals are mined and refined in Ontario, by Ontario workers.
